Okazi Soup (Ukazi Soup) — made mainly from okazi (wild spinach / Gnetum africanum), along with a hearty base of palm oil, crayfish, dried fish, beef and seasoning cubes.

Nsala Soup (White Soup) — A delicacy from eastern Nigeria, also called ofe nsala, made without palm oil (hence 'white soup'). Catfish is the star ingredient, giving the soup its distinctive taste, alongside small pieces of yam or cocoyam and utazi leaves (can also be made with chicken).

Onugbu Soup (Bitterleaf Soup) — A popular eastern Nigerian soup made with bitter leaves and cocoyam paste as a thickener. The bitter leaves are washed thoroughly to tone down their bitterness before cooking, and the soup is rounded out with meat, crayfish, and ogiri seasoning.

Oha Soup (Ora Soup) — Known to the Igbo as Ofe Ọha and to the Efik, Ibibio, and Anaang as Mkpa Afere, this southeastern Nigerian soup is built around oha leaves, usually thickened with cocoyam and flavored with uziza leaves, giving it a fresh, slightly bitter, aromatic profile.
